Ultimate Blog Party 2011

I’d like to welcome you (especially if you’re new here) and invite to you take a look around my humble blog.  I’m pretty new to blogging and just found the Ultimate Blog Party 2011, which is in its 5th year over at 5minutesformom.com.  If you haven’t heard of them, please stop by and say hi; if you’re a blogger, please jump in and join the party!

Originally, this blog was going to be a “store front” for my home-based, direct-sales business ABC Spa Escape 4U; but since starting it, I have rediscovered my love of writing.  It has become an outlet to chronicle my life and expand my world outside of the bubble I live in, here in Southern California.  Currently, I have a full-time job that pays the bills, working at a community college, along with a part-time job that refills my spirit at a doggie boutique and bakery.  The in-between hours are filled with working on building my home-based business, maintaining a house that is forever falling apart (have you seen The Money Pit?), keeping up with my friends and family (2 and 4-legged), and forever trying to find the time to take a break.

Next week I’m hoping to find a few minutes to participate in a photo-blog hop; so when you stop by again, you’ll get the chance to see a little bit of my world, instead of just reading about it.  Plus, one of these days, I hope to start Vlogging too.

There’s a lot going on in my little corner of the world, and sometimes I have a hard time fitting everything in.  So please feel free to stop by anytime to catch up on things or even just to say hi and see what’s happening here.

  1. Ann,
So glad to finally get a chance to catch your UBP11 post! I am finding such fun blogs to read. I guess it’s not a bad time to be laid up with a bum leg–I can read blogs all day and night!

  2. I understand about blogs morphing…I’ve had the same thing happen with scribbleprints.com.

I’m originally from Souther California too, though I’m in Texas now. I grew up on a boat in Wilmington and Long Beach until I was then, then moved to the mountains (Twin Peaks, up near Lake Arrowhead), then came out here. Miss those beaches and mountains a lot…but right now is the beginning of wildflower season out here, so I won’t miss them for a little while.

  3. Hi Ann,
Thanks for stopping by my blog… Your blog is looking pretty cool!!! I’m in NY so it will be nice to read how the other side of the states lives it up. lol Looking forward to your photo-blog hop…

    • I’m way behind on the Photo Blog unfortunately. I have found a way to get my little digital camera into my purse though, so I can take more decent pics on the fly–no more using the dumb phone!

  4. You sound like a busy lady – wow too school for cool! I hope you have a great party!
