Daphne’s California Greek Cafe has become one of my new favorite places to eat. If you haven’t been yet, Daphne’s offers Mediterranean-inspired food with a focus on healthy, flavorful ingredients. With 52 restaurants across California, Colorado and Arizona, there’s a good chance you can find one nearby.
I was given a chance to try one of their newest limited-edition menu items recently (in the form of some gift cards); and I want to tell you that the Cali-Greek Bowl rocks! This dish takes its inspiration from the fresh flavors of California and Greek cuisine; starting with a choice of rice pilaf or citrus brown rice (which I chose).
Flavors of Daphne’s Greek Cafe
I ended up ordering a combo for lunch, which included a side and a drink–all for under $10! Along with my Cali-Greek salmon bowl, I ordered a side of Tabouli, as kind of a side salad. It ended up being the perfect accompaniment to the spiciness of the jalapeno bacon and Greek yogurt chipotle sauce.
“The popular response to the California flair behind Daphne’s menu of traditional Greek-inspired dishes gives us room to innovate,” says Bill Trefethen–the CEO of Daphne’s California Greek; “we think our guests are going to enjoy this new Cali-Greek Bowl.” Well Mr. Trefethen, I heartily agree.
