I was going through my photos the other day, and came across this one. My brother and I went up the tram to Sandia Crest, for one last time to say good bye to our father. His home is way out in the distance; but since the peak is at 10,600+ feet and his home is all the way across the valley—it would be difficult to pick out.
If you’re ever in Albuquerque, New Mexico (and not afraid of heights), I would highly suggest a trip up the tram to see the sights. You can wander the trails, visit the Ski Museum; if there’s snow, you can ski or snow board down the other side.
There’s also the High Finance Restaurant at the top, where you can have a meal or even just a drink (the margaritas are delicious!) while enjoying the view.
I’ve never made it up there to see a gorgeous New Mexico sunset, but that’s definitely on my bucket list! Have you ever been to Albuquerque? Did you take the trip up the mountain? Let me know in the comments.
