The Eyes Have It

How do you clean and protect the delicate area around your eyes?  When I was growing up, we used baby oil and vaseline–thinking it was cleaning, moisturizing and protecting our skin (who are we fooling–we were sunbathing with baby oil too!).  Today though, there are so many products that say they’re delicate enough to use around our eyes; but who can we believe?

Well, I for one believe  in BeautiControl; sure I sell it, but I use it too!  And they’ve just come out with some great new products to clean and enhance my eyes:  Lash-Enhancing Eye Makup Remover, BC Color Spectaculash Thickening Primer and BC Color Spectaculash Intense Mascara.

Start Clean

BeautiControl does rigorous testing of all their products (but NO animal-testing!); and these are all opthamologist-tested for safety.  The eye makeup remover does double-duty–removing all traces of makeup around the eye area, while gently conditioning, soothing , nourishing and moisturizing the delicate skin around the eyes with chamomile and cucumber extracts, vitamin B5 and sodium hyaluronate.

Prime Directive

If you’ve never used a lash primer (I never had before), you will be amazed at the difference it can make.  When you use (the right) primer on your lashes, mascara will adhere better, last longer and create more volume.  Isn’t that why we wear mascara anyway?  BeautiControl’s formula adds volume and conditioning agents to lengthen, strengthen and define each lash.

Long & Strong

Lastly, I have to admit–I am a mascara snob.  I’ve always had trouble finding a mascara that looks good, lasts and doesn’t bother my eyes.  BeautiControl has reformulated their BC Color Spectaculash Intense Mascara and I have to say–they’ve hit this one out of the park!

See for yourself

I’ve been using it for almost a week now; and I just love the way it looks and feels.  I don’t even need to use my eyelash curler to get the definition and length I feel like I need.  The brush is amazing and the mascara contains all kinds of conditioners and vitamins to lengthen, strengthen and give me the lash-look I really want!

That’s just one coat of primer, plus one coat of mascara–didn’t even have to use my eyelash curler!  Would you like these results?  Shop here or contact me and schedule yourself a relaxing Spa Escape, where you can earn these products and more, for free!

  2. I have a love/hate thing w/ mascara. The best of them can weigh my uber straight lashes down no matter how well I curl them, which defeats the purpose. I’ll have to try the primer and see this mascara works out for me!

    • There’s a good chance it will! I use a curler for my lashes, but in that photo I didn’t; and you can see the difference between my lashes with the primer/mascara & without. I’m really loving this stuff!

  3. i’ve been trying to wear more mascara. I’ve noticed they are very blah lately. love the results you got

  4. What do you use to take off mascara? I use Ponds currently but it seems like everything I use either hurts my eyes or takes off my eyelashes with it.

    • Glad you asked! There’s also a reformulated eye makeup remover that BeautiControl has just come out with; it contains conditioning agents for your lashes. I’ve always had trouble with eye makeup removers too, and am finding this new formula to be very gentle and effective–without having to scrub my lashes off.

  5. I have very sensitive eyes. Anything I try, I end up allergic to. Is it hypoallergenic?
