Last week, I was lucky enough to snag a spot on the red carpet (yes the one down in Hollywood), to help promote the premiere of the new movie Mom’s Night Out. You might have heard about this movie, or even already seen it; but this was my first opportunity to view it and also to spend time with
some of the bloggers involved with the Entertainment New Media Network.
I was able to see the movie gratis, and also interview some of the people involved in the making of Mom’s Night Out. All opinions expressed here are my own.
Mom’s Night Out
Starring Patricia Heaton, Sean Astin, Sarah Drew and Trace Adkins—Mom’s Night Out pushes all the right buttons to create a comedy, filled with lovable characters, scene-stealing kids, a car chase, dance party at the bowling alley AND a message for the whole family.
Here’s a preview to check out
Although I’m not a mom, I can identify with Sarah’s character Allyson as she tries to be the “perfect mom.” I’ve also seen guys like Sean Astin’s character–Allyson’s husband, Sean, as he tries his hardest to support and help her, followed by that moment where he doesn’t have all the answers.
Entertaining for Everyone
Co-written by Andrea Nasfell and Jon Erwin, Mom’s Night Out is a comedy about a typical family. The movie is funny and touching; the cast is realistically engaging.
Mom’s Night Out is being released as a faith-based film, through Provident Films, AFFIRM Films and TriStar Pictures. There is talk of God and Jesus; and in the most touching scene of all–Trace Adkins as Bones tells Allyson that she is God’s beautiful creation.
When you walk out of the theater, you’re going to have a smile on your face. Mom’s Night Out is great entertainment, family-style; you’ll laugh, you’ll catch a tear in your eye, you’ll leave the theater dancing!
It opens May 9th–and would make a wonderful Mother’s Day/Date. Check your local theaters for show times. Do you have any special plans for Mother’s Day? Let me know what you’re up to in the comments below.
And once you’ve seen the movie, you’ll understand what this is about.
