Everyday Skin Care

Do you know the number one way to take care of your skin?  There are a couple of answers that you could come up with, but the best thing you can do for your skin is to use sunscreen.  Preventing sun damage before it starts is the number one way to keep your skin looking youthful.

Your skin is all that stands between you and the environment; which may sound silly, but the skin really acts like a filter–keeping all kinds of environmental aggressors at bay.  UVA and UVB rays, toxins in the air, water and other surfaces, even make up and germs are all “attacking” your skin all day long.

It really pays to take care of your skin, if you want it to last; and the better you take care of it, the better you will look and feel.  BeautiControl has a great line of products that help prevent sun damage (listed under the Skin Care/Prevention section); the Cell Block C collection contains products that will strengthen your skin’s ability to defend itself, stimulate your skin’s vitality, promote natural repairing mechanisms and lock in moisture to protect and reveal your healthiest- looking skin.

When should you start?

Today is the best time to start your skin care regime; the longer you wait or put it off, the more damage is done and as that damage reaches the lower levels of the skin, it becomes more difficult to get back your “youthful glow.”  With the four different products in the BeautiControl Cell Block C collection, you can repair past damage AND prevent future damage–all while improving  the look and feel of your skin.

Each of the products (the New Cell Protection SPF 20, the PM Cell Protection, the Intensive Multivitamin Face Serum and the Intensive Brightening Elixir) contains potent doses of Vitamin C, along with other ingredients that will transform your skin into smoother, firmer, and healthier looking skin.

Now I don’t know if the Cell Block C collection can help the Tanning Bed Mom; but I do know that BeautiControl has a money-back guarantee.  So if  you’d like to try this wonderful line of products, you can contact me or shop on my website at ABC Spa Escape.

I have spent more money on Sunscreen in my lifetime…I should buy stock.

My sons and I have very fair skin (our ancestors are from Ireland, Wales, Denmark…) and we burn very easily. It was bad enough in the summers up north, and then we moved to Texas. I am sure you can imagine how much sunscreen is used in our home! :)

  2. Oh might have to look into that. I am so fair and live in CA and we have a lot of sun.

    • I use this almost every day. I’m so fair-skinned; as a test I even took it to the river one weekend and it held up to the sun out there too!

  3. I try to keep up with this one. But with four kids it seems I am always missing a spot! Having SPF in my moisturizer helps though!

  4. Now that I live in Texas, I’m constantly trying out different sunscreens. Every single one I’ve tried leaves me looking kinda greasy – but some are not as bad as others.

I will definitely check out the products you mentioned.

I’ve also just started taking pomegranate extract because I’ve read studies claiming that it boosts the ability to deal with the sun’s rays by up to 25%

    Thanks for the great tips!

    • I visit my family down in South Texas almost every summer, so I know what you mean about having to try sunscreens. I have to say that I love the way this feels on my face though–used to use Oil of Olay, but I like this better!
