Looking for a Healthy Snack?

Isn’t that something everyone is always on the hunt for?  So when I opened the envelope and poured out several packages of Somersaults snacks and started to read about them, I was very pleasantly surprised.  The number one ingredient in all of their flavors (Pacific Sea Salt, Salty Pepper, Dutch Cocoa, Cinnamon Crunch and Santa Fe Salsa) is sunflower seeds; nutritionally dense, packed with antioxidants, vitamin e,  chock-full of protein, healthy fats and minerals.

I started with the Pacific Sea Salt; and found that they were perfectly salted, with the great nutty taste of the sunflower seeds–that’s it and they tasted delicious!  Each of the flavors contains healthy, tasty ingredients and when combined with the sunflower seeds makes for a unique and flavorful snack. The Dutch Cocoa is chocolaty without being overly sweet; the Cinnamon Crunch gives you cinnamon flavor.  The Salty Pepper goes down smoothly, but I have to say that the pepper sure sneaks up on you after you’re done!  The Santa Fe Salsa is pretty mild for a salsa flavor; but again, that tangy, spicy bite sneaks up on you.

Since I’m constantly on the hunt for a snack–I do try to make it a healthy one; and these flavorful, bite-sized morsels definitely fill the snack bill for me!  Want to taste for yourself?
