Getting around in Southern California is easy; we can go from the beach to the mountains in a matter of hours. In between the two, there are small towns, growing cities, parks, and more to see.
Huge shopping centers, smaller malls, entertainment centers and specialty stores are becoming major tourist draws. All around these places some cute little hotel hideaways have cropped up too.
Aloft in Ontario
I was fortunate to get a tour of one in Ontario. The Aloft Ontario is part of the W chain of hotels and certainly lives up to their reputation. As soon as you walk in the lobby, you’re hit with a cool, hip, almost European vibe; gorgeous colors, great tunes, big screen monitors, pool table & bar, plus a 24 hour snack station all let you know this isn’t your everyday airport hotel.
I was able to take a mini-tour of the hotel and got to check out one of their stylish, efficient and oh-so-chic rooms. First thing you notice is the relaxing atmosphere; cool grey tones accentuate the modern and comfortable feel of the room. A nice desk/workstation (with free WIFI), a small refrigerator, and a well-appointed bathroom all work together to make you feel like you’re ready to take on the world (or even the mall).
Amenities
While you’re there, you definitely want to make time to enjoy the free fitness center and the heated, salt-water pool; with the same hip music playing (underwater speakers!).
In the afternoons, evenings (and maybe even early mornings), you can play pool, or even just sit by the fireplace and enjoy one of their signature cocktails and a bite to eat. I received free drink as pat of my tour and review–my choice was the Wedding Cake Martini; YUM!
The Aloft Ontario is within walking distance of a couple of small restaurants and coffee shops, and close to Victoria Gardens, Ontario Mills, the Citizens Business Bank Arena and the Rancho Cucamonga Epicenter.
Now I just need to find a little free time, so I can escape to the Aloft Ontario for my own get away! Its so close, maybe I can call it my Christmas shopping trip; that way I will be able to rationalize all the shopping I plan to do!

Great review. I’ve seen the hotel around different areas… but haven’t gone in. Sounds like a great place to stay.
Awesome review! I will definitely have to check out this hotel if I ever make it out that way.

Let me know if you do make it out here; we can make plans to get together!
I have been itching to stay at this place. It is close enough to my home to be a fun “staycation” venue. Great review!!! Now it makes me want to go more!
